Terms
An agreement between you and Sam Parkinson, a sole trader trading as AuditTag, of 4th Floor, 14 Museum Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BH. By running an audit, buying a fix pack or subscribing to Guardrails you accept these terms. Last updated 30 September 2026.
What the service is
AuditTag reads the public pages of a website and reports on the tracking tags it can detect and on on-page SEO problems. If you buy a fix pack, it produces corrected files for you to deploy yourself.
It is a file generator, not a service that manages your website. We never connect to your CMS, never hold credentials, and never change anything on your live site. What happens to the files we give you is entirely your decision.
Guardrails is a monitoring subscription. On a schedule, and after deploys where you have set that up, it re-checks the public pages of the domains on your plan, and the ecommerce dataLayer events you send us where you have configured that, and alerts you when something it watches changes or disappears. Like the audit, it reads your site from outside and never changes anything on it.
Guardrails is in early access. Until the self-serve dashboard is finished, we onboard your domains by hand, and some features described on the site as "concierge" or "early access" are delivered partly by a person rather than fully automatically. We tell you which when you subscribe.
What you are responsible for
- Reviewing before deploying. The fix pack is a proposal. You are expected to read the change log and diff the files against your own before putting anything live. We designed the output specifically so this is easy.
- Only auditing sites you are entitled to. Do not use AuditTag against a website you neither own nor have permission to work on.
- Backups. Keep your own. We do not hold a copy of your site you can restore from.
- The accuracy of what you publish. Written copy in a fix pack is generated from your own page content. Read it before you ship it.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that your search rankings, traffic, or revenue will improve. Nobody can honestly promise that: search engines rank pages on hundreds of signals we neither control nor see. What we promise is a specific, checkable thing: that we will find the on-page issues we say we check for, and give you corrected files that address them.
We also do not check page speed, Core Web Vitals, broken links, or backlinks, and we say so plainly on the site.
Monitoring reduces the chance that a tracking break goes unnoticed. It cannot guarantee to catch every break. It checks what we describe, on the schedule of your plan: a problem that starts and ends between checks, or that sits somewhere we cannot see (for example inside a checkout we have no access to), may not be caught. Alerts depend on the email address, Slack, Teams or webhook you give us working.
Fair use
Free audits are rate limited per address. Do not attempt to work around those limits, use the service to send traffic at a third party, or resell audits in bulk without talking to us first. We may refuse or withdraw service if you do.
Who owns the output
You do. Once you have paid, the fix pack and everything in it is yours to use, modify and publish, with no restriction and no attribution required. We claim no rights over your website or its content at any point.
Payment
Fix packs are a single payment for a single site, taken through Stripe. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Refunds are covered in our refunds policy.
After you pay, I check every pack before it reaches you, usually within a few hours on a working day, and by the end of the next working day at the latest. You will get an email with the download link. A pack that passes my automated checks and that I have not read within 24 hours is released, and the email says so.
Guardrails subscriptions
Plans and price. The plan, its limits (domains, URLs checked, scan frequency) and its monthly price are those shown on our site when you subscribe, or in the written quote we send you. Prices are in pounds sterling.
Billing. You pay monthly in advance, by card, through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, either through the billing link in your Stripe receipts or by emailing us (how to cancel). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for. You will not be charged again, and monitoring stops at the end of that month.
Changing plan. Upgrades apply straight away, with Stripe charging the difference for the rest of the month. Downgrades apply from your next billing date.
Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of your plan, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Missed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still has not been paid 14 days after it was due, we may pause monitoring until it is, and end the subscription if it remains unpaid.

Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uptime. Audits expire after 24 hours, or after 7 days if you buy a fix pack for that site, and download links after 7 days; both are stated at the point you use them.
Liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise, and because AuditTag reads your site rather than acting on it, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the fix pack in question or, for Guardrails, the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost rankings, lost revenue, or wasted advertising spend.
If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Ending it
Audits and fix packs have no account and nothing to cancel. If you want audit data deleted before it expires, email us.
Guardrails can be cancelled at any time, as set out above. When a subscription ends, we delete the monitoring data we hold for your domains within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
